I refused to buy a mini waffle maker but I got one for Christmas, so I'm late on the chaffle game. However, today was my first time making them and I chose to do so with this recipe and I'm hooked! I'm weird about eggs so I was nervous about any chaffle, really. I opted for a couple suggestions made in this recipe: I did 2 egg whites and I added the teaspoon of baking powder. I cooked mine for the full 5 mins and spread mayo on both "buns." So good! My husband and 3 year old approved, too! 2 things I would like to mention is, even only doing half the mixture each time, it still overflowed so I had to put a pan underneath my waffle maker. Also, again I'm new to the chaffle, but my first one stuck pretty bad. It wasn't coming out as a whole so it was a waste, so I sprayed my waffle maker each time after. Thanks for a simple and delicious recipe!!

Too lazy to haul out the waffle iron (it's not mini sized) so I mixed one egg and 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar , and put it in a cast iron skillet with some sizzling hot butter. I let it cook on medium high-ish heat until the edges became solid (like you do with pancakes), then flipped it over. I turned the stove off because it's electric and stays hot. I covered the skillet and let it sit there for a few minutes until it seemed right. I put salt and pepper on it and am now eating this CHANCAKE and it is making me so happy right now. I can envision picante sauce drizzled over it. Or keto syrup. It's AMAZING.

I got mine this weekend and I’m loving it I already made my first truffle sandwich with ham and cheese and it was delicious! I will post the picture on Instagram and hashtag buttertogetherkitchen.
